I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Not even a week ago my social media account (not naming names here) was hacked. I was unable to recover my account due to my recovery information being changed by the unauthorized person(s) who accessed my account. Off hand, we all know someone who has been “hacked” and this was not my first experience, although, it is the first time I was unable to recover the account. Honestly, I needed a break from social media, so I welcomed it. What makes it even more interesting, I had posted in a non religious group, just a few hours prior, about the healing powers of the Blood of Jesus Christ. There is no way that I can know for sure, but I have a feeling that my posts about Jesus prompted this hacking of my account. I am left to wonder if it was the actual owner of the social media site or a random act. I considered starting a new account but then I remembered I had this undeveloped site for which I created for this very purpose. Take the level of hostility that has been developing towards Christianity for years and add the political volatility of America and the result has been social media sites censoring our posts and now possibly even completely shutting our accounts down through the guise of a random hacking. I think Romans 12:21 KJV comes into play here, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” The good that I am doing here is what Jesus has instructed me to do. “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32 KJV. 1 Peter 3:15 KJV states, “But Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you”. There are other verses as well that point to Jesus instructing us to spread his Gospel with boldness. Declaring boldly, without fear about the love of Jesus Christ, about the sanctification that occurred through the spilling of his blood, his mercy and forgiveness of our sins through grace, in our current society is the very reason that I have hope. I am a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:3-6. Now, the question is, how to get this site in circulation without having a social media account? I pray that you will be moved to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and share this article and pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ reaches all in need of hearing.
Humble Beginnings
Breakthroughtotheotherside.com was born in July of 2017 as a conceptual idea and yet, here I am, writing my very first blog entry on May 30th, 2021. Let’s talk about procrastination! Seriously, I have been wanting to create this Blog for years and I have just been sitting on this empty site for nearly four years. Maybe I was waiting until I completely broke through to the other side, until I could share the result and the step by step plan on how to get there. In these unsettling times, I cannot shake the feeling that we are all running out of time. Thus, I decided to begin in the middle of my journey, and I am inviting you along with me. This journey is about becoming the woman I was created to be through the love and healing powers made available to us all through the blood of Jesus Christ. My goals for this blog are as follows: 1. To share the gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. Share my testimony of healing through Jesus Christ. 3. Continue healing and hopefully allow my testimony to encourage others in their healing process. 4. Grow through new and old friendships and feedback. 5. A place for Christians to encourage and pray for each other. 6. Leave room for the endless possibilities of growth available to us through Jesus Christ.
Today’s encouraging scripture, Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
